When selling food and drink items, professional Sussex product photography elevates a home-based business into a premium brand. Recently, I captured the vibrant, colorful products of Fruitology. Michelle runs this fantastic Horsham-based business. Fruitology creates stunning, natural fruit infusions using high-quality freeze-dried fruit.

Originally launched during the 2020 lockdown, Michelle officially took over the business in May 2023. Since then, it has continued to grow beautifully under her ownership. Michelle runs Fruitology directly from home with wonderful support from her husband. In fact, this business centers completely around family life and a passion for creating something unique.

Natural Fruit Infusions Captured in Beautiful Detail

The secret behind Fruitology’s products lies entirely in the specialized freeze-drying process. First, the specialized process removes around 80% of the fruit’s natural water content. As a result, the fruit quickly rehydrates when you add liquid. This releases an intense, delicious flavour. Furthermore, combining this fruit with a small amount of sugar creates incredible drinks. Importantly, you get this amazing taste without any artificial flavours or preservatives.

Initially, the team designed these infusions for alcoholic spirits. However, they recently tested the products with non-alcoholic drinks and discovered they work just as well. Therefore, these infusions offer a simple way to create something special. You can easily add them to cocktails, mocktails, sparkling wine, or your favorite mixer. What It Felt Like to Photograph Fruitology’s Range

One of my favorite things about photographing local small businesses is getting a sneak peek behind the scenes. Moreover, I love hearing the stories that brought them to life. So often, a family, a true passion, and hard work sit behind what people see on the surface. Undeniably, Fruitology is a lovely example of that exact sentiment.

It was a true pleasure to capture part of that story. I also loved styling their beautiful product packaging. Finally, we celebrated another independent local business doing things their own way.
